What is an abuse of power?

At a legal level, the abuse of power refers to the improper or excessive use of the authority, position or influence that a person has by virtue of his position, position or situation.

It implies that someone in a position of power acts illegitimately or unfairly, either to obtain personal benefits, harm others or violate established rights and regulations.

It can manifest itself in forms such as discrimination, harassment, corruption, violation of human rights, among other behaviors.

It also refers to such improper or excessive use from the agent on the principal.
