What is a legal good?
A legal good is a concept used in the field of law to refer to an object, value or interest that is recognized and protected by law. It represents what is considered valuable to society and that must be protected and preserved.
Legal goods be tangible, such as property, life or physical integrity, or intangible, such as human dignity or the environment. The protection of legal goods is fundamental in the legal system, since it seeks to guarantee order, justice and the well-being of society as a whole.
