What are vices of consent?

The vices of consent are the causes that invalidate the consent given in a legal act, because it affects the freedom or knowledge of the parties.

They are: error, fraud, violence or intimidation.

The defects of the consent can lead to the voidability of the legal act, provided that it is claimed within the legal term and its existence is proven. Voidability implies that the legal act is valid as long as its nullity is not judicially declared.
